Joanna is the passionate educator and founder of A Fuller Education. Since her first year in the classroom, she’s been on a journey of re-imagining education and discovering how children learn best. She began as a middle school math teacher in inner-city Los Angeles and later in a school for an orphanage in El Salvador. Since 2013, she’s been coaching K-12 teachers and administrators to help them find ways to authentically attend to their students’ thinking and how to transform their classrooms into joyful learning communities.

Joanna holds a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Biola University and a Masters of Education in Organizational Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University. She currently lives just outside of Philadelphia with her husband and their three sons (4 years old, 1.5 year old, and newborn).
